Dr. Sharon Chen

Dr. Sharon Chen first came to San Francisco in 1984. She received a M.S. in Oral Biology from UCSF, a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from UNC Chapel Hill, and went on to graduate from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chen has moved here to the Bay Area to return to her roots and be with family. She is excited to continue the tradition of excellent dental care established here at Diablo Creek Dentistry. Dr. Chen and her husband Eric currently reside in San Ramon and spend their weekends hiking and exploring the scenery in the Bay Area. She has two children who are both dentists and a very shy cat. Dr. Chen is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys eating healthy foods and taking dance classes over Zoom. Dr. Chen has placed over 1,500 dental implants over the course of her career and is also certified in orthodontic treatment with Invisalign (clear braces) and 6-Month-Smile technology. She has over two decades of experience in running her own dental practice in Framingham, MA.

I have been practicing for over 25 years and have extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry including crown and bridge, veneers, root canal, extraction, denture and implant. Our office has the most modern technology including a CBCT scanner and a CEREC machine for same day crowns. We also offer a membership program that will help you to maintain your oral health while staying within your budget.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

With 25 years experience, I am proficient in a variety of treatments. However, my top three are clear braces, crowns and bridges, and implants.

What are you proud of in your practice?

We value our patients and treat them as our own family members. Our highest priority is to do top quality work and make each patient happy.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I am passionate about helping people to feel proud of their beautiful smiles, so I enjoy doing procedures like veneers and clear braces (Invisalign). I also like to do crowns, bridges, and implants to help patients regain their chewing function. Root canals and extractions scare most patients. I enjoy doing these procedures precisely because they get my patients out of pain.
