Dr. Fotini Chrisopoulos has spent her life achieving excellence, with numerous awards, honors and distinctions during her career. She graduated first from Dental School in Greece & received numerous awards for academic excellence upon completion of her studies. Prior to attending her advanced 3 years specialty training at prestigious Columbia University she worked as a dentist for the Greek Military National Guard in Thessaloniki Greece. After graduating from Columbia with honors and receiving her Masters of Science degree in Prosthodontics, she continued with her surgical implant training at University of Maryland School of Dentistry, the world`s first dental school. She was the chief fellow during her Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics Fellowship and was trained to surgically place implants. Up to today, Dr Chrisopoulos has been rated by her patients and fellow dental colleagues as one of the Top 10 Prosthodontists and Dentists in the Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia and Top USA Dentist in 2017.

We care about your comfort and offer sedation dentistry, music, headphones to make you feel very comfortable while on the chair. Avanti Dentistry is equipped with latest technology . We can make crowns, bridges and veneers in one visit. Our digital x-ray system is safe and gives minimum radiation that equates in standing in the sun for only 10 seconds. We take digital impression sand with our inter oral camera you can view your dental needs very easily. We also have a cavity detector device and oral cancer screening device that detects cavities and abnormalities much earlier than an eye detection.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

As an extrovert, I find joy in taking care of my patients.  Helping them with their dental needs, improving their dental health, and seeing the impact their new smile has on their lives and their confidence – makes me happy! I have spent more than 10 years specializing& attaining extensive dental knowledge. My brother, a pediatric dentist, inspired me to explore and then pursue the profession. Since I love science and art, I am grateful to be a dentist, as I feel that all the beautiful smile designs and my skills of dental photography have an extensive artistic side in them. Starting with our first interaction, I strive to establish trust and rapport with my patients and I spend time to discuss their expectations and dental needs. My goal is to create a safe and trusted dental experience for my patients. Being empathetic and compassionate has helped me manage many patients with dental anxiety.
