Dr. Firas Abdulmajeed

In 1992 Dr. Firas Abdulmajeed received a DDS degree in Dentistry from Baghdad University, College of Dentistry. He then completed a one year internship at the Dental Speciality Centre in Baghdad. Following this he worked in private practice until 2010 where he and his family came to Canada. In 2012 he was accepted at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. He was then granted his second degree DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from the University of Western Ontario in 2014. From the very beginning of his dental practice Dr. Firas has been interested in the areas of Cosmetic, Restorative and Digital Prosthetic Dentistry. His biggest interest is in continuing education to keep up with the latest updates in the sciences of Dentistry to provide the highest standards of dental care to his patients. Dr. Firas has proudly joined the 123 Edward Street Dental family, and is feeling grateful and blessed that his hard work finally put him in the best practice that any dentist could wish to join. Dr. Firas is a busy father of four children and enjoys his free time with his family and spending time outdoors. Dr.Firas is currently a member with the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons Of Ontario.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I love to learn and stay up to date with the latest updates in the sciences of Dentistry. This has equipped me with many skills when it comes to general dentistry but the primary areas of focus are; Cosmetic, Restorative and Digital Prosthetic Dentistry.

What are you proud of in your practice?

One of the many things we are proud of is our staff-patient relationship. We treat our patients like family and try to accommodate their needs when possible. We also ensure patients leave the clinic with much confidence in their oral health and a better view of dentistry as a whole. Our Clinic also happens to be the first private dental anaesthesia practice in Canada. This clinic holds a lot of history which adds to the attractive aesthetics in the clinic.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all types of cases but if I am to choose, I would have to go with Dental Implants and crowns. To me, these treatment options are a form of second chance in achieving that confidence, smile and great oral health that has been lost because of a loss tooth or teeth.
