Dr. Avelyn White

Dr. Avelyn White earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. White also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) specializing in Biology. Dr. White completed a two year externship at Detroit Receiving Hospital (A Trauma One Hospital), treating high risk and medically compromised patients. Dr. White also completed an oral surgical rotation at Henry Ford Hospital which is a Level One Trauma Hospital.

At Emerald Dentistry, we aim for you to have a positive experience at our office. Our goal is to ensure that you actually look forward to your next dental appointment. We ensure that you are greeted courteously as soon as you step through the door, the office is clean and bright with soft relaxing music to keep your mind at ease. We also ensure that you understand your treatment in detail by using an intra oral camera that takes photos of the teeth in your mouth. You will be able to actually see the condition of your teeth and be aware of why you need treatment.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

We perform all aspects of GENERAL DENTISTRY and enjoy them all fully. We do not focus on a "Top 3" as we are proficient and trained in all disciplines of GENERAL DENTISTRY and thus hold them all in equal regard.

What are you proud of in your practice?

We are proud of our wonderful patient base. Our patients are great and always give great and useful feedback. We are proud of our team and the way we ensure that the needs of our patients remain our number one priority.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

We enjoy any case that makes our patients happy. It could be as simple as a dental cleaning. If this makes our patients happy, we enjoy doing it. We enjoy improving anything that causes our patients distress or insecurity. This includes alleviating pain, improving the smile (eg, rotated or stained teeth), and we enjoy restoring teeth to proper form and function through various restorative techniques including fillings and crown and bridge. Every discipline of dentistry is amazing especially when it brings our patients joy and satisfaction. Our joy comes from the satisfaction of our patients.
