Dr. Akash Datt Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, pursued his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Kuvempu University in 1998 with the dream of bettering as many smiles as possible during his career. After working at his own private practice in New Delhi for 11 years and then switching over to working in a hospital setting for 6 years he decided to take his passion and penchant for learning to the next level. Akash then moved to Canada where he managed to successfully enroll in the highly competitive Internationally Trained Dentists program earned his(DDS) Doctor of Dental Surgery from UWO (London, Ontario). Now, armed with 17 years of clinical experience in India and also Canadian dental experience, he is excited to be a part of our clinical practice. Akash wants to make sure that his patients are comfortable and they look forward to their dental appointments. He believes in comprehensive dental care focused around individual needs and has a special interest in esthetic and conservative dentistry. He tries to make these procedures pain free and interactive with his patients. He believes that every individual has a different personality and depending on their needs, he customizes the treatment plan individually as per their requirements. Each dentist has their own specific skill set, my forte being communication and openness with my patients. I ensure my patients are comfortable in expressing their concerns and in turn I work with them to provide them with a happy smile they deserve. My treatments are done in a pain-free and friendly environment, where my patients are treated with the utmost compassion and care.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

My primary focus is on conserving the natural tooth structure. I focus on restorations (fillings), RCT, and crown and bridges.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of my ability to work with patients to tailor their treatment according to their needs. I make sure my patients are equally involved in the treatment planning and understand their procedures and treatment objectives. Every patient is unique and I strive to ensure my patients receive pain-free treatment which ends with a happy smile.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all sorts of cases, especially cases which make my patients more confident and happy with their smile. I enjoy surgical work, root canals, and bridges. Aesthetic dentistry allows me to give my patients the smile they have dreamed of.
