Dr. Hibret Hailu Benjamin

Dr. Hibret Benjamin is a Cosmetic and Restorative dentist in San Francisco, providing the highest caliber of care for her patients at Marina Tooth Fairy Dental in the Cow Hallow District of San Francisco. Dr. Benjamin has extensive training in all areas of dentistry, providing the most advanced treatments for an array of oral health issues, including placement of implants, implant restorations, crowns and bridges, porcelain veneers and on-lays, cosmetic bonding, sleep apnea treatments, TMD pain management, and Zoom whitening, as well as routine cleaning and examination, gum disease care and treatment, and treatment of dental emergencies. Dr. Benjamin is dedicated to the needs of her patients and delivers superior results by developing each treatment plan in detail, based on the unique oral health needs and treatment objectives of every patient. She also believes strongly in open communication, providing patients with information about their condition, care and treatment and answering every patient’s questions and concerns so they can feel confident and secure in their care and their results. After earning her bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California San Francisco, Dr. Benjamin has continued her advance training in aesthetic dentistry, implantology, sleep medicine and full mouth rehabilitation at Spear Education. She has also been a clinical assistant professor at UCSF Dental School since 2014. When not caring for her patients and teaching, Dr. Benjamin enjoys spending time with her husband and her son. She loves exploring her interests in running, cycling, tennis, and scuba diving. Dr. Benjamin welcomes new patients, and the practice accepts most major dental insurance plans. English, Spanish, Korean, Amharic, Slovak and Chinese (Mandarin) are all spoken at the practice.

With each visit, my team and I work hard to make sure each and every patient has a great experience – starting from the minute they walk through our door to the minute they leave. In our office, we have written mission and vision statements that my team and I value and hold each other accountable for each day. We have always prided ourselves with providing each patient with the right amount of personal care, high technology and continuing education. What this means is that, not only am I learning new techniques and technologies to better my care for my patients, but so is my support staff. While also learning new technologies and advancements in dental care, I am also equipping the office with the best technologies and materials. I have a state-of-the-art facility that is not only safe but also comfortable for each of my patients and staff members. Lastly, it is the utmost importance to me to always inform and educate our patients so they can make informed decisions on their care and treatment.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

The top treatments that I have been focusing on lately are: cosmetic makeovers. Cosmetic makeovers include veneers, implants, ceramic crowns and bonding. Another treatment I am passionate about helping my patients with is sleep apnea or sleep related breathing disorders. I enjoy being able to work with each patient on a solution to not only help them understand why this is happening but also to find a better solution than just a CPAP machine. I am blessed to be able to be a practice that has the ability to screen out patients with a take home sleep test which then gets read by a sleep specialist physician. Being able to work with a sleep physician allows me to help properly diagnose and treat my patients who have sleep related breathing disorders.

What are you proud of in your practice?

In my practice, I am most proud of my amazing team. Each ‘tooth-fairy’ team member is incredibly smart, caring, and passionate about helping our patients as well as their role within our team. They are each hand selected to not only provide the best work but to also make sure that we all work well together. Most importantly, they are all a blast to work with.
