Dr. Devin Babauta

Dr. Devin Babauta is from Ventura County, CA, but has lived in the Bay Area for over 10 years. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular Biology. He then earned his doctorate of dental surgery from UCSF School of Dentistry and stayed for an advanced general dentistry residency program, where he learned more complex surgical procedures like placing implants. His educational background and clinical experience in patient-centered care, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and oral surgery make him an asset to our team. He loves getting to know people and aims to show each of his patients he has their best interest at heart. In his spare time he likes lifting weights, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his fiancée and two cats, Yami and Hikari.

I am a passionate provider who aims to show each and every patient I have their best interest at heart. I am a strong believer of the intimate link between oral and systemic, full body health and therefore value patient education and prevention over aggressive treatment planning. As a new-generation dentist, I have had the privilege of learning the most cutting edge, evidence-based dental techniques the field has to offer. I am eager to bring my educational and clinical expertise to San Francisco's diverse communities!

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

While I am skilled in all areas of general dentistry, the top treatments I perform are: - Cosmetic/restorative (fillings, crowns, veneers, tooth whitening) - Periodontal treatment (improving the health of supporting tissues through scaling and root planing, gingivectomy, and bone grafting). - Invisalign clear aligner therapy to correct mild malocclusion, crowding, and esthetic concerns.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of treating each of my patients with utmost respect and personalized care. I am proud that my patients feel cared for and like they are in good hands.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy all aspects of comprehensive general dentistry, but I most enjoy restorative/cosmetic procedures and oral surgery (extractions, bone grafts, implant placement).
