Dr. Fischbach grew up in the neighborhood and attended Holy Spirit Grade school, Cretin High School, and the University of Saint Thomas. He earned his DDS from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Fischbach is a past president of many dental organizations, including the St. Paul District Dental Society and the Minnesota Academy for Gnathological Research. He was also an Associate Professor in the School of Dentistry of the University of Minnesota, where he taught about the functioning of the temporomandibular joint, how the teeth fit together, and the treatment of its diseases. Dr. Fischbach is a mentor for CEREC at Scottsdale Center for Dentistry and teaches other dentists how to use this advanced dental technology. Dr. Fischbach has been practicing dentistry since 1958. Prior to opening his practice, he served in the U.S. Navy for two years of active service. He also spent 34 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He continues to practice because he loves meeting patients and helping them. An improved smile can transform a person’s quality of life. Outside of the office, Dr. Fischbach loves to travel and fish. He has also enjoyed windsurfing and skiing in the past.
