Dr. Sunil Kashyap

I am excited about this transition and carrying on the legacy Dr. Sawhney and her practice have established in our community for the past 25 years. It’s an honor to serve the wonderful patients within this practice and continue to make an impact outside of our four walls. I look forward to building relationships with each and every one of you. I am anticipating a bright horizon into the future. Although I grew up in Charlotte, I now call the Raleigh area my home. After graduating from Myers Park High School, in Charlotte, I completed my undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a degree in Chemistry and Economics. After formal education, I dedicated one year with Americorps mentoring and teaching elementary and high school-aged children in Washington DC. This experience fueled my desire to continue to serve, advance, and give in to my profession. The Tarheels brought me back to Chapel Hill for Dental School and The Pirates drew me in for a degree in Advanced Education thereafter. Graduating dental school has only been the beginning of my journey. I have since been highly involved with the Rotary Club in coordinating and directing several mission projects in Mexico, Guatemala, and the Philippines. Giving back is a part of my ethos as well as our professional and practice culture. My drive to continue learning has propelled me to dive headfirst into continuing education where I have gained extensive training; far exceeding any general requirements. This advanced training includes dental implant placement and restoration, comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation, short term orthodontics (Invisalign, Powerprox, and Six Months Smiles), 3-D imaging, Sleep medicine, and Sedation dentistry I envision earning my Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in the near future, while also pursuing a masters track (it’s always important to have goals!). At this time, I live in Cary, NC with my wife, Dr. Meenal Patel who is also a practicing dentist in Cary. We both love spending time traveling, reading, spending time with family, friends and playing with our dog, Endo. We also both enjoy spending time giving back to our local community. I am very excited to have you be a part of our family and hope to spend individual time with each and every patient to help them achieve their individualized oral and overall health goals.
