Dr. Karl G. Berg

Dr. Karl Berg grew up in White Bear Lake and attended college at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1977. Dr. Berg received his Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1981. While practicing in Robbinsdale, Dr. Berg continued his affiliation with the School of Dentistry during a ten-year period as an Assistant Clinical Professor. He was also the Chief of Staff of Dentistry at North Memorial Health Care. Dr. Berg is accomplished in all phases of family, esthetic, single visit crowns (CEREC CAD/CAM), and implant dentistry. He has completed numerous advanced continuing education courses at the University of Minnesota and the Spear Institute for Dentistry, where he is currently a mentor for CEREC and implant technology. This enduring commitment to contemporary education has allowed him to restore the mouth using new, modern techniques and materials including single visit CEREC CAD/CAM crown restorations on both natural teeth and dental implants. Dr. Berg places dental implants utilizing a surgical guide that is fabricated via 3-D dental CAT scan (CBCT). This is integrated with pre-operative virtual crown placement with CEREC CAD/CAM, allowing the implant to be placed ideally for the final crown. In addition, Dr. Berg is especially talented in cosmetic bonding, veneers, and cosmetic porcelain crowns and has made cosmetic dentistry affordable for many patients. His practice seamlessly integrates computer and digital technology with dental care to bring the highest level of service to individuals and families. Dr. Berg is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Minneapolis District Dental Society, a Fellow in the International Dental Implant Association, and is a past President of the North Side Dental Society and the North Hennepin Kiwanis Club. He has also been a member and past chairman of several dental committees of the Minneapolis District Dental Society. Minneapolis/St. Paul magazine has featured Dr. Berg many times as a “Top Dentist.” Also, Twin Cities Consumers’ Checkbook recognized him as a “Top Rated Dentist” in Hennepin and Wright Counties. Dr. Berg spends his free time with his wife and their three children. The family enjoys outdoor activities including sailing, kayaking, and skiing. His daughter, Brianna, recently joined the practice as an associate dentist!
