Dr. Steven Chavez

Dr. Steven Chavez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. In high school when he went to get his first job, his father encouraged him to apply to the orthodontist office that was just a few blocks from home. Steven worked there for years, continuing to grow his commitment and education in oral health even once he went off to college at Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Working part time at the orthodontist’s office throughout his time as an undergraduate, Steven became certified as an orthodontic assistant. It was then that he realized he wanted to make dentistry his lifetime career. He went on to attend the New York University College Of Dentistry, where he earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. During that time, he engaged with volunteer opportunities overseas in Kathmandu, Nepal and Managua, Nicaragua treating underserved refugees and other community members in need of oral health support.
