Dr. Sharde Harvey

DR. SHARDE HARVEY, DDS is a skilled New York City General Dentist with extensive training in full mouth cosmetic rehabilitation. Dr. Harvey is currently in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Lenox Hill Hospital and is a clinical instructor on faculty in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care at New York University College of Dentistry. She is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, and spent her last year at NYU in the Honors Esthetics program doing full mouth veneers, similar to those seen on television programs such as Extreme Makeover. After dental school, she attended a rigorous one year residency program at Long Island College Hospital. After residency, Dr. Harvey finished a two-year post-graduate program in implant surgery and prosthetics at NYU. She is also certified in Invisalign® as well as Botox administration, useful in treatment of TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder) and headaches. She has been seen on ABC-TV Eyewitness News in a special program on technology and cavity detection using lasers. I am skilled in all areas of dentistry studying three years longer than required but primarily focus on Cosmetic restorations, full mouth rehabilitation, Invisalign, Oral Surgery and Teeth Whitening in my practice. I believe very strongly in continuing my education and completing advanced training programs in Orthodontics, Periodontics, Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry to make sure I can provide the highest quality of dentistry to all my patients.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Something that makes me very proud is that our practice has great reviews because of our experienced staff, attractive aesthetics and advanced equipment. It's fully accessible and designed for geriatric care and patients with mobility issues. Also, for your safety our office uses Dexis Digital X-rays because there is a 50-90%* reduction in radiation exposure using the Dexis system.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all my patients however one of the most rewarding moments for me is to see a patient leave our office smiling while only a short time before that they were experiencing pain or were embarrassed to smile.
