Dr. A. Ameen Al-Obaidi

Dr. Ameen graduated from Baghdad University in 1997 with a Bachelor degree in Dental Surgery. He finished a post graduate diploma in dental surgery MFDS from Glasgow in 2010. He was interested in implant surgery and cosmetic dentistry, therefore, he finished his fellowship in placing and restoring implants from The International Congress of Oral Implantologist in USA. He has placed hundreds of implants, and is happy to be a part of his patients esthetic journey by helping them restore smiles. He finished his DDS in Canada after passing the NDEB exam in Western Ontario. Dr. Ameen has had a privilege of working in four continents, which has enabled him to connect and develop great communication skills with patients from all walks of life. After graduation, he volunteered to work with the North American red Cross organization, he was able to provide people with the dentistry they so desperately needed, in the deep areas of deserts. He enjoyed helping patients with MS by providing them with health care treatment and education. Dr. Ameen, also known as Ahmed, started his journey in dentistry in Canada by working in Northern Ontario (Thunder Bay) where he also embarked his first skiing adventures. He is the owner of two practices; Hamilton (Barton Dental) and Mississauga (Tomken Centre Dentistry), and now recently Thunder Bay (Redwood Dental Centre), He looks forward to visiting and providing dentistry every month to his longstanding practice in Thunder Bay. Here at Tomken Dental, he enjoys surgery, implant placement and restorative dentistry. Outside his professional activities, Dr. Ameen is a father of four. He is profoundly involved together with his wife Dr. Jasmin in raising them. He enjoys playing soccer, swimming, and traveling. He speaks two languages; English and Arabic and he is learning some Spanish.
