Dr. Sam Gilani Periodontics

As one of the world’s most respected periodontics experts, Dr. Sam Gilani has provided consulting services to residency programs and universities around the globe. Dr. Gilani graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1988, earning a Master’s in Oral Biology before finishing his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) with a specialty in periodontics. From 1989 to the present day, Dr. Gilani has enjoyed a long and successful career as a lecturer and clinical instructor of undergraduate periodontics at his alma mater. Shortly after beginning his career as an instructor at UCLA, Dr. Sam Gilani also became a member of Cedars Sinai Medical Center’s teaching staff in 1992. In the multiple decades that he has held both positions, Dr. Gilani has gained a stellar reputation among students for his dedication to bringing the latest dental technologies and training methods into the classroom. To complement his academic appointments, Dr. Sam Gilani also holds a position as a Fellow of the International Congress Implantologists. In addition, he currently serves as a Diplomate of the American College of Implantology, and he is a leading member of the following organizations: The American Dental Association The Western Society of Periodontics The California Dental Association The American Academy of Periodontology The Beverly Hills Academy of Denstistry The Los Angeles Dental Society Outside of the classroom and the office, Dr. Gilani enjoys spending time with his beautiful family, listening to classical music, and helping people around the world understand all of the ways that having a beautiful smile can make life more enjoyable!
