When did you know you wanted to become a dentist? I sometimes wish I had a great story to share anytime I am asked this question. Maybe how I knew as a kid that this was my dream or how a great mentor inspired me in my past. Truthfully, I dreaded going to the dentist where I would get chastised for doing a poor job brushing my teeth, and rightfully so. But when I look back at all those visits, which included eight years of braces and headgear by the way, I am so grateful for those dentists guiding me on a path for a smile that allows me to confidently live life. Even though I didn’t know it at the time. A Southern California native, I experienced the four seasons for the first time living in Cleveland, OH and completed my dental training at Case Western Reserve University. And to provide the best care for my patients, I have continued my education and training at industry-renowned institutions, such as the Kois Center and Implant Pathway. Those inspiring mentors I mentioned before? I met them a little later than expected but they have given me a passion for the pursuit of excellence in this craft I am blessed to do. I spend my free time staying active with my toy sized Australian Shepherd and reading books. One book I found particularly inspiring was Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. Written about the world of Michelin star restaurants, the book gave me another goal I want to pursue: bringing high level hospitality to the world of dentistry. Let’s be honest, the dentist office is unlikely to become anyone’s favorite place to spend time. But to all those we welcome to our home, we will strive to make you feel like you found the right place to achieve your goals.
