Dr. Galina Yakovlev

Dr. Galina Yakovlev is a compassionate and dedicated dentist who places her patients’ well-being at the center of everything she does. With a warm, patient-focused approach, she takes the time to understand each individual’s unique needs, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable with every step of their care. Dr. Galina believes in providing comprehensive and conservative treatment plans tailored to the best interests of her patients. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, followed by earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the same university. During her studies, she received recognition for her outstanding clinical and academic performance, including awards for Excellence in Clinical Endodontics and Oral Biology. After graduation, Dr. Galina furthered her expertise by completing a General Practice Residency at MHealth/University of Minnesota Medical Center, where she gained advanced training in treating medically complex patients. Dr. Galina is committed to ongoing education, regularly attending a wide range of continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry. This dedication allows her to provide the highest quality of care to her patients, using the most current techniques and practices. Outside of work, Dr. Galina and her husband, Mike, are busy parents to two energetic daughters. They enjoy taking family road trips, trying out new restaurants, and spending time together at home. When the kids are finally settled, Dr. Galina and Mike like to unwind by catching up on shows or movies—though they don’t always make it to the end after a long day!
