Dr. Radovan Rudik

Dr. Radovan Rudik was born in Slovakia and grew up in Mississauga ON. He completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences with Honors degree at the University of Western Ontario. He then pursued his dental education at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. His most memorable experience was providing dental care to orphans in the Eastern European country of Moldova. While in dental school, Dr. Rudik also represented the UNC Tar Heels as a defensemen on the NCAA Division 2 ice hockey team. Following graduation, Dr. Rudik returned to UNC to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. He has successfully passed both American and Canadian National Dental Boards. In his spare time, when he is not fishing, Dr. Rudik is training his Belgian Malinois "Niki", and keeps his hands busy with home improvement and landscaping projects.

What are you proud of in your practice?

My amazing team that treat our campers like they are their own family. The ambiance - we have been told it feels like a 5 star hotel in the Muskokas We are at the forefront in technology with intraoral camera and microscope and advanced root canal therapy units. We also have low dose digital radiographic equipment. My philosophy is to to guide my patients on a pathway of least amount of dentistry in their lifetime. By pretending each patient is my father, mother, sister or brother allows me to treatment plan and provide the necessary dentistry at my highest level. My technology allows me to be transparent and allows my patients to co-diagnose with me.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all cases but especially enjoy paediatric/children's dentistry and being a mentor for a child's first dental experience. I also enjoy treating patients with high anxiety and emergency patients.
