Dr. Henry Qiu

Dr. Henry Qiu followed his parents’ dreams to become the first doctor in his family, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles, with honors in cosmetic dentistry and prosthetic dentistry. After graduating dental school, Dr. Qiu completed a 2 year residency in sleep medicine with the International Academy of Sleep and got accredited with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Qiu completed Spear® Education courses and a rigorous education in implant placement at Biohorizons and Hiossen Implant Institute. He continued his education on mission trips to Jamaica and Guatemala, where he received further education on trauma, extractions and advanced surgical procedures. Meanwhile, as the only child of an immigrant family that spoke little English, Dr. Qiu found difficulty communicating and understanding his emotions. This led him to discover his passion in the topics of communication, emotional intelligence and leadership. He completed rigorous courses on communication and social work through the Curriculum for Living series at Landmark Worldwide and is actively coaching in mentorship programs and leading self-development seminars with Transformational Leadership Associates. When he is not at his office, Dr. Qiu enjoys reading, martial arts, camping, snowboarding and paddling in Long Beach.
