Dr. Michael Sarraf

Springfield, Missouri, the third largest city in the state, was where Dr. Mich ael Sarraf grew up. Always a strong student, he received an Academic Scholarship to attend Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU). At SMSU, Dr. Sarraf received his Biochemistry major and graduated in the top of his class. In 2000, Dr. Sarraf graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and was awarded a one year Merit Scholarship. In 2002, Dr. Sarraf completed General Practice Residency (GPR) at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse, NY as a Chief Residency. Drawn to Massachusetts for the beautiful landscape and friendly people, Dr. Michael Sarraf chose to remain here after completing his education and secure the position of Managing Clinical Director in an office in Saugus, MA for 1.5 years before buying an office in Gloucester, MA in 2004. In 2010, Dr. Sarraf purchased his second dental office in Danvers, MA. Dr. Sarraf named his practice MINA DENTAL ASSOCIATES after his mother, Mina, who lives in Springfield, MO with his father. “MINA” means enamel in Farsi so it was the perfect name for a dental practice that protects the enamel of their patients' teeth. Dr. Michael Sarraf is a member of American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, North Shore Dental Society, and Cape Ann Dental Society. Dr. Sarraf is an active member of the community by being a member of Gloucester Rotary Club since 2005 and substitutes at Manchester/Danvers/Middleton Rotary Club occasionally. Dr. Sarraf is also a member of Cape Ann Business Alliance (CABA) in Gloucester, MA and North Shore Business Forum (NSBF) in Danvers, MA. In 2010, Dr. Sarraf was awarded the AMERICA'S TOP DENTISTS by Consumer's research Council of America. Dr. Michael Sarraf enjoys soccer, weight lifting, jogging and skiing. Dr. Sarraf played soccer all his life and started a soccer team in dental school. In 1995, Dr. Sarraf lifted 2.7 times his body weight and won the Missouri Powerlifting Championship in his class and 3rd overall. Dr. Michael Sarraf is married and lives with his wife, Tina, and son, Aaron in North Shore area. Dr. Michael Sarraf enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but does NOT believe in heroic dentistry. That’s why he is honored that Dr. Jacob Pourati and Dr. Ali Sarraf lend their expertise to his patients by coming into the office.
