Dr. Richard B. Englander

Dr. Englander is the former Deputy Chief of Dentistry for The Johns Hopkins Health System and a member of the Dean's Faculty at the Graduate division of The University of Maryland Dental School. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Englander practices General Family Dentistry and is a preferred provider for most major dental insurance plans.

The breadth of his experience and knowledge widens the variety of dental options available for treatment.

What are you proud of in your practice?

We view our practice as a place where we can build long term relationships. Our best successes are the people who entered our practice as children. Through good hygiene and preventative care we have brought many of them into adulthood with perfectly healthy dentition without the need for a single restoration.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

The beauty of general dentistry is its variety. In a single day, we can brighten smiles in a variety of ways. We can eliminate pain, replace a gap that makes a child feel socially awkward, allow an elder to enjoy their meals through increased chewing ability. Whenever a patient sits down in the chair and gets up feeling and looking better, it gives us profound pleasure.
