Dr. Punita received her dental education at University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, IL and her undergraduate degree at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dr. Punita Shukla enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular focus on restoration to give patients beautiful, healthy smiles. “Dr. Punita is an incredible addition to the team. Dr. Punita is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American College of Prosthodontists and the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum. She regularly attends courses, workshop and seminars to be able to provide the highest quality of care to all our patients. Dr. Punita grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and now enjoys living in West Loop with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.

My first appointment with Dr. Shukla and Pure Dental Spa was a fantastic experience! Having gone through several dentists in my 30+ years, I really didn't know what to expect. Stepping into the waiting room was pleasant--comfy chairs, a TV (with sound off!), water, and more. They send you all the forms to sign electronically beforehand so no need to spend 30 minutes scribbling out your medical history while you wait, which made the check-in process so quick! Stepping into the office area, the whole setup is modern and classy--no hospital drab here! They call this a spa because they offer a complimentary hot neck pillow and paraffin wax hand treatment (felt good!) while you get your teeth cleaned. Dr. Shukla and her assistant were the right combination of personal and professional. No scolding and guilt here, just direct suggestions about how you can do a better job. They started with a full set of x-rays and design a treatment plan aka the costs, before beginning. While they didn't pitch some extras like laser cleaning, the office staff wasn't pushy at all. Booking a followup appointment after my cleaning was fast and efficient, with an instant email reminder with calendar invite. All in all, if you're looking for a modern, clean, professional dentist, go see Dr. Shukla!

Took my 7 year old today to see Dr. Punita she was awesome and her dental asst Diana handling those hard X rays bc kids can be kids she was so patient with my daughter it was awesome. We had a cleaning and pulled two teeth that were begging to be helped out, and the dr was super fast and awesome and so supportive and sympathetic of her little crocodile tears she had!! The front desk was super helpful and the office cleanes and beautiful decor was very nice. Can’t wait for my visit!
