Dr. Dhara B. Patel

Dr. Dhara B. Patel is born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. She is an all-around Illinois girl, attending Neuqua Valley for HS, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her Bachelor of Science, then completing her dental school and residency training at University of Illinois at Chicago. While completing her dental degree she worked for multiple families as a nanny and a private tutor where she realized her love for kids and pediatric dentistry was the perfect fit. Dr. Patel treats children of all ages and backgrounds and has a passion for working with children with special needs. Her philosophy is to focus on preventative therapies and to counsel families on how to improve oral health with changes in their nutrition and oral hygiene habits at home. She truly is devoted to overall child health and wellness and is constantly reading books and attending lectures that will help her understand what overall health and wellness entails for her patients. At home, she enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Mylo. She is a world traveler and a culinary enthusiast. Most importantly, she is an avid Bears fan! Dr. Patel is also a big believer of giving back, she helped start a community service organization which focused on children abuse prevention and awareness. As her involvement grew, Dr. Patel went from volunteer/contributor to a board member and eventually National President. Her involvement in the community continues with being a co-chair of the Associate Board at Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, a not-for-profit center that directly focuses its efforts on helping survivors of child abuse.
