Dr. Shady Samuel (Pediatric)

Dr. Samuel is a gifted pediatric dentist with a love of treating children. After graduation dental school, he decided to pursue additional training at Methodist Hospital where his passion for treating children matured. He then went on to complete his pediatric specialty training at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Samuel has treated patients in hospital settings, private practice and remote under-served areas including Tampico, Mexico. During his time off, Dr. Samuel enjoys being outdoors with his wife Kelly and their three children.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I am a clown. No really, in college I worked as a clown because I enjoy making kids laugh and smile. This has helped me get the kids the care they need and deserve. There is nothing more important than having a child leave happy from a dental visit for their future oral health.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I spend a lot of time focusing on preventative care including checkups, cleanings and sealant placement to help prevent cavities from forming in baby and adult teeth.

What are you proud of in your practice?

The team approach. I love working with my clinical team that helps keeps kids comfortable for a great experience.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I love to do preventative dentistry. It is ultra important to keep teeth of youngsters clean and healthy to avoid additional dental treatment. That said, when cavities, happen, we can keep kids comforatable with various methods to get their necessary treatment completed.
