Dr. Su-Young Choi

Su-Young Choi, DDS, is a general dentist at Rainier Dental, providing complete preventive, general, and restorative dentistry to people in Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Sumner, and Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Choi was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up in South Korea. She studied at the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. After graduation, Dr. Choi enrolled at the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery. At NYU, Dr. Choi developed a passion for sharing her expertise with underserved communities and regularly participated in dental mission trips through the nonprofit Christian organization SOMA Dental Mission of NY. As a SOMA ambassador, Dr. Choi completed multiple trips to Oaxaca, Mexico, providing preventive and general dentistry to people in need. Dr. Choi loves spending time in nature when she’s not practicing dentistry. She’s an avid runner, hiker, and camper. Dr. Choi enjoys listening to music, watching movies, cooking, and traveling when she isn’t outdoors. She’s also a social butterfly who loves seeing family and friends.
