Dr. Jay Rodgers

Dr. Jay W. Rodgers grew up in Geneseo, a small town in western Illinois, and received his Bachelors degree from the University of Illinois, and his Dental Degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. After dental school, he continued his education with numerous courses in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, as well as orthodontic and endodontics treatment and the management of sleep apnea through oral appliances. Dr. Rodgers is an active member in the ADA and the local North Suburban branch of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Jay is fluent in Spanish, is an avid cyclist, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, Drew, Ava and Jack.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I have always practiced with the philosophy that I treat my patients the way I would want to be treated, or someone in my family. I strive to give patients all their options and take everything into consideration. I try to balance cost, treatment time and dental health in order to give patients all the information they need in order to make an informed decision.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and strive to continually do my bet for every patient. I particularly enjoy treating the anxious patient, and helping them to overcome their anxiety at the dentist.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of the treatment that I have been able to provide my patients here at 34th Street Dental Care for the last thirteen years, and the relationships that I have developed with numerous patients and their families.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy helping patients that are perhaps embarrassed by their smile, and have put off dental treatment due to personal/financial reasons or dental fear. I enjoy giving patients the ability to smile again and eat with confidence.
