Dr. Bernal grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He served 7 years in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer and after an honorable discharge, attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for his bachelor's degree in Biology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering at Manos De Cristo.
