Dr. Robert Chacon

Dr. Chacon grew up in a small suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area as the only son of a beloved general dentist. Dreaming of following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Chacon went a few hours north to study and gain experience in biological sciences. To gain an even deeper understanding of the research that goes into evidence-based decisions in dentistry, he then pursued a Master's degree and work at Stanford University, one of the top research institutions in America. Seeking to broaden his horizons beyond California, Dr. Chacon then attended the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, an Ivy League institution renowned for its exceptional education, where graduated with top marks and served as a teaching assistant and mentor for pre dental and dental students alike. To refine his skills in general dentistry, he then sought continued education at a rigorous General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. After following his partner to Chicago for her pediatric dental residency, Dr. Chacon is ecstatic to have found and become a member of the Smile More Dental family. He is grateful to be a part of such a close knit, kind-hearted and compassionate dental team that put their patients first in all things. Dr. Chacon's dental experience and knowledge is well rounded and extends to dental implants, oral and IV sedation, advanced cardiac life support, full mouth reconstruction, dentures, and much more. He is currently a proud member of several dental organizations, including the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and the American Dental Association (ADA). When he is not in the office caring for his patients, Dr. Chacon enjoys spending time with his partner exploring the Midwest, whether it be running in the great outdoors or eating all the vegan food possible.
