Dr. Jerry H. Hidlebaugh was born in Frederick, Oklahoma, where he graduated from High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma in 1961. He then moved to Waco, Texas where graduated from Baylor University in 1962. His passion to be a dentist sent him to Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he graduated in 1966. Dr. Hidlebaugh then went on to practice dentistry as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1966-1968. After, 4 years in the Navy, Dr. Hidlebaugh relocated to Dallas, Texas where he opened a private practice. He enjoyed his time in Dallas for 9 years, but decided he wanted to move his family to Alvarado, Texas. He opened his private practice in Alvarado in 1977, where he is still practicing after 38 years. His philosophy is “You are a friend first, and then a patient”. To this day Dr. Hidlebaugh will always sit down and have a cup of coffee or play a game of checkers with you. He married his wife Georgia in 2003 and they enjoy traveling to the coast together and collecting classic cars.
