Dr. Pinchin was born and raised in London and completed is undergraduate degree in Biology and Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. He continued his education in Australia at the University of Sydney and graduated from dentistry with honours. While in Australia, he was the recipient of the HJV Cusack Prize for the top clinical student in his class. He also received the IADR Colgate Award, Australian Dental Research Award and the Leonard Hansen Prize for his research in pediatric dentistry
