Referral does not have to be to the specific clinic, the only thing that has to match is type of procedure. For example, if you are referred to ABC Clinic for ultrasound, you can go to any clinic that performs ultrasound.

Toronto Ultrasound Imaging is the diagnostic walk-in ultrasound facility in downtown Toronto, one of the few in Canada. The clinic is professionally supported by St. Michael’s Imaging Consultants, a group of imaging specialists who provide diagnostic and interventional radiology services to a major downtown Toronto tertiary care hospital (St. Michael’s Hospital).

This is by far, the best office in the city. The staff is courteous, punctual and professional. Having these procedures isn't fun - but if you have to have them done, best they occur in an easy manner. On a previous occasion, I went to a different clinic. I waited (having to go to the bathroom when I arrived, as instructed) and had to wait for 3 HOURS beyond my appointment time. it was appaling. This clinic is fantastic and I applaud the effort by all staff. Report Abuse

I have been to Toronto Ultrasound a few times now, and this experience was nothing like the previous ones. The front desk staff was fast and friendly, as usual. Unfortunately, the wait time was a bit long. Usually I receive excellent care from the woman ultrasound tech, but this time, it was a man. He was impatient, rude, and did not seem to understand English very well. I had two other guests looking to see/hear the fetal heart rate, to which the ultrasound tech did not let them. I asked "Do we get to hear the heart beat?" he said "yes," then a few seconds later, said "have a nice day." He would not show us the heart beat, or give a photo of the ultrasound saying "those are different techniques for entertainment, we don't do that here." Meanwhile, I had both at my previous ultrasound, two weeks prior. IF I do return to Toronto Ultrasound Imaging, I will definitely request a day when he is not working. Report Abuse

While I was impressed with the ease of booking I was disappointed by the technician. The receptionist was quite lovely. This is an important time in anyone's life and as a women, you would think that this technician would take the time to explain what she was seeing on the screen. Instead it was cold and quiet and at the end printed a photo and said "we're done" as she left the room. She destroyed the entire experience for me and I'm left with a photo with no clue of what is what. Report Abuse

The technician did not introduce himself to me. He said hi and asked me to put on the gown. While I waited for him to come back I noticed that the screen on his equipment contained the names, birth dates and recent procedures for several patients.
